I want to share with you the positive impact Brad Hillhouse has had on my NCRS experience and why I feel he would make a fantastic Regional VI Rep.
Brad and I met when I was the President of a local NCCC club. I was aware of the NCRS but didn’t know how to get involved or if I really cared to. Brad invited me to Nebraska Chapter judging meet at his shop to get a feel for the type of activities in which I could get involved. Brad encouraged me to join the NCRS and the Nebraska chapter which I did.
Since joining, I have gotten much more involved in NCRS activities. I started out as an Observer Judge and with Brad’s assistance, I have progressed to judging, mainly on C2’s and C3’s. I have also had my ’72 LT-1 judged and will be taking it to the 2022 National Convention in Mobile. I hope to earn my fifth star in the Bowtie Award.
Thanks to Brad’s tutoring and encouragement, he and I have attended NCRS Chapter and Regional meets in Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana and Iowa. Brad has recruited many other NCRS members to our chapter and all across the USA. His YouTube videos and Facebook posts receive extremely positive comments from lots of NCRS members wherever we have traveled. During our “windshield time” together, Brad has answered many, many phone calls from other NCRS members on a wide variety of topics.
It is my hope that you will consider voting for Brad for Regional VI Representative.
Mike McFarland
Nebraska Chapter Chairman NCRS #59330
My name is Gary Bosselman. NCRS Membership number 2575. I have been a member of NCRS since July 29, 1979. I owned a 1960 at that time I joined. My first convention was Wisconsin Dells, WI in 1980, I showed an original unrestored 1962 and received a second flight. I have owned, shown all the different generation of Corvettes. Been there, done that.
I am currently a member of the Illinois Chapter, Wisconsin Chapter, Minnesota Chapter, Indiana Chapter and Iowa Chapter. I hold the Co-Judging Chairman for the Illinois Chapter NCRS.
I am currently the “Manual Coordinator” for the 1968-69 Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide and the 1970-72 Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide. The 5th Edition 1970-72 Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide was the FIRST judging guide printed in COLOR. As they say, the rest is now history.
To say I am one of the old-timers in the club, might be a true statement, but I am not as old as a lot of the members. But the club has enough old codgers like me. We need some YOUNG blood to continue this club forward. New ideas are needed. Enthusiasm is needed. Criticizing, nit-picking isn’t needed anymore.
I have worked with Brad on the 68-69 and 70-72 Manual Revision Team. His enthusiasm is contagious.
I would encourage all of you to Vote for Brad Hillhouse as Regional VI Regional Representative. Just look what he did for the Nebraska Chapter !!

In 2016 we had just purchased our 1972 Corvette. We were at a car show in Madison Wisconsin and being proud owners we were highly disappointed when a person wearing a NCRS straw hat started picking our car apart. We knew it was not perfect, we were just proud of it. I told Dawn we would never join a club like that.
Fast forward a few years and we were on a return trip from North Platte Nebraska to pick up our daughter. I had met Brad Hillhouse virtually through a Corvette Facebook group. I sent him a message to see if we could stop by his shop and meet in person to say hi.
Brad was willing to take time out of his weekend and open up his shop so we could visit with him. At that time Brad showed us his 81 and 68 and took the time to show us around his shop and gave us a great explanation of NCRS.
Since then if we have had a question or needed advice Brad has always made time to listen and guide us through any questions we have had.
Brad completely sold us on the NCRS and is the sole reason we decided to join. He is willing to travel across America to help out with any NCRS event when ever possible. Brad will be a great representative NCRS Region VI.
Sincerely
Gary and Dawn Goodyear
NCRS #66059
Wisconsin Chapter Chairman, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Nebraska chapter members.
I have known Brad Hillhouse since 2017 when I was beginning the restoration of my 1968 Corvette L79 coupe. I was on a Corvette forum when Brad contacted me and asked if I would be interested in joining a new Facebook group dedicated to 1968 Corvettes. I immediately joined Facebook "1968 Corvette Owners Group" and learned that Brad was also in the process of restoring a ‘68 Corvette. Over the years the group grew in numbers largely due to the genuine interest Brad shows for Corvettes, restorations, and the people involved. I cannot count the number of times he made the time to respond to a post I made inquiring how to do something.
I met Brad in person at Carlisle in 2018, and he encouraged me personally as I was losing interest when up to my elbows in tons of rust and grease. He instilled in me the proper attitude to really enjoy the Corvette restoration process and to enjoy the camaraderie of all the people in the group.
Because of Brad’s encouragement, help, and leadership I am now a proud owner of a NCRS Chapter Top Flight award. I couldn’t have done it without him.
I wholeheartedly believe that Brad is a great candidate for leadership in the NCRS. He really loves the cars and the hobby, and the organization. He always encourages people to join NCRS to improve their understanding of the cars and to better enjoy the hobby. Please give serious consideration to Brad Hillhouse for NCRS Region VI Director, he will not fail us.

I truly support Brad’s run for NCRS Region 6 Director. Albeit, I am unable to personally vote for him as I live outside the Region, he is quintessentially the textbook person for the role. Brad challenges his teammates to achieve monumental tasks. He has an exceptional sense of humor, often at his own expense! He always defers credit of personal accomplishments to others. Brad “walks the walk” by producing excellent Corvette technical and “how to” videos and articles on both Facebook & Youtube, sharing great experience and advice to all. In contrast to many who “take it to the grave” the secrets of restoring cars all too common today, he selflessly shares his experiences abundantly.
Unprecedented opportunities are currently before the NCRS, (thanks to those who’ve preceded all of us), from widening recognition as the NCRS being the global Corvette authority, social media and multimedia technologies, to learning how to teach these disciplines to future Judges and these technical disciplines into the minds of Millennials and Gen X’s. Developing these NCRS challenges into successes takes Brad's kind of approach intellect, and personality.
Brad has personally driven tens of thousands of miles to hundreds of NCRS events to support all of us fellow members as we work to achieve our NCRS goals.
Brad's humble, hard-working mentality of “service to you NCRS family” is vital to the future of our wonderful organization.
Daniel Rechtfertig # 60213
Chairman Kansas City Chapter 2016-2021
My name is Todd Duncan, I am the current Chairman of Duncan Aviation, the largest privately owned business jet service provider in the world. Over the last decade, I have spent time with Brad and the NCRS community. Most recently we cohosted the NCRS Last Blast event, which was a huge success and very well attended thanks to all Brad's hard work.
Brad has been instrumental in bringing the Nebraska and Iowa NCRS together. He consistently leads with passion in everything that he does and continually is a leader in the corvette community. Brad is strong in his technician abilities, and can problem solve when issues arise. I would never have passed my PV without his help and support.
I cannot recommend Brad enough for the Regional director position, with his drive and passion NCRS will see innovation and success in future years.

I'm unable to sign the Region VI nomination form, due to living outside of NCRS Region VI. I would like to give my endorsement to Brad Hillhouse's nomination. I first met Brad at the Cincinnati Regional in 2019. Being fellow late C3 owners, we hit it off right away. It’s been a pleasure getting to know Brad better over the past few years. Though living in Indiana, I even joined the Nebraska Chapter because I was so impressed with how they do things! Brad and the NCRS Nebraska Chapter have hosted thoroughly enjoyable chapter meets. My 1,300+ mile round trip to attend is worth every mile.
I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse Brad Hillhouse for the position of Regional Representative for NCRS Region VI.

Brad Hillhouse is an enthusiastic ambassador for NCRS and Corvettes in general. I personally, am not a Facebook user, but my wife is, and Brad’s 1968 FB Support Group and his numerous video posts of events/schools/tech sessions do attract a younger demographic – folks we need as an organization.
Brad is also a member of our Midway USA Chapter (Wichita - Region 7) and an outstanding resource for articles, Flight cars, etc. As past Judging Chairman, I appreciated his efforts to maximize member’s judging opportunities by scheduling area events to avoid conflicts.

Many of us know these things about Brad; he is enthusiastic, a people person, passionate about the future of the NCRS, and loves Corvettes. While all of those things about him are good qualities, I personally know a little more that matters. Brad is willing to roll up his sleeves and help anyone he is able to. His work ethic, honesty, and integrity are not compromised by pressure from others. Brad has a good heart, solid mind, and displays great leadership qualities.

Brad is the pied piper for anyone that has or is even thinking about a corvette. His passion and enthusiasm for all corvettes and the people who own, love, and drive them is boundless. Brad has developed a consistent message of what the NCRS is all about and how we can make our cars better.
My experience attending chapter meets and judging schools have been second to none. The events topics are innovative and are carefully scheduled with travel in mind. I’m always amazed as to how many people consistently come from literally 100’s of miles away to attend. I’m lucky I live here! He is presenting the NCRS to folks in a way that is drawing more and more people to have an opportunity to really enjoy their cars and create new friendships.
Recently I have noticed an increase of C4 and C5 owners participating. I think it’s great as I’m a C5 owner myself. I’m sure the increase is by design as it brings the NCRS opportunity to some folks that otherwise might not know about the organization.
Anytime I have a NCRS question and or just want to engage in some corvette conversation Brad makes the time for me or anyone else. If he has 5 minutes he’ll give you an hour. That’s just the kind of guy he is. I’m grateful to know him, I can’t ever thank him enough.

Brad, I remember first meeting you at the Carolina National in 2019. We judged together on the 73-82 team. I was very impressed with your enthusiasm and knowledge as a new member. I have learned that you don’t do anything half way and it is important that you understand the details. Your success with the Nebraska chapter proves you have the endurance to affect change.
Your Region would be very fortunate to have you as their Representative.
Pat Kropac #61541 NCRS Region III Rep
I own a 1968 convertible which I purchased in 2017 and shortly after that, I joined NCRS. With the encouragement of my brother Tom, who is a long time NCRS member, I had the car flight judged in 2018 at the Heartland Chapter spring meet. My main purpose in having the car judged was to get a baseline on where the car was and what was needed to take it further in the flight judging process, if I chose to do so. The car was judged 2nd flight and it left me wondering if I should pursue top flight.
Shortly after that, I met Brad and I joined the Nebraska Chapter. Brad encouraged me to enter the car for flight judging at the Last Blast judging meet in Council Bluffs, IA in the fall of 2018. I was hesitant at first but with his encouragement, I decided to enter the car. I really got to know Brad through this process as he explained what was needed to achieve Top Flight and offered hours of hands-on help and reassurance. In the end I took home the Top Flight ribbon. What a feeling of satisfaction and pride!
After reflecting on the time I have known Brad, my initial and lasting impression has always been his outstanding character. Brad treats everyone with the same respect, regardless of their knowledge of Corvettes. He is so willing and eager to pass on his vast amount of knowledge to anyone who wants to learn. Believe me, I’ve learned a lot!
When Brad ends an NCRS presentation, many times he ends with the phrase “come for the cars, stay for the people”. Brad’s love for Corvettes is obvious, but his way with people is what separates him from most other folks I know. I can’t think of a better person to represent Region VI than Brad Hillhouse.
Al Hanks NCRS #64297
Who else would make a better candidate for anything in NCRS, but a person born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, a city linked to the very origins of NCRS!
I’ve known Brad for over 20 years, actually meeting him through his father and project ’64 Corvette convertible. This project car caused us to spend increasing amounts of time together, and because of my infectious love of Corvettes since my first one in 1969, Brad started catching the Corvette bug as well. The more than 20 year age difference was erased by the love of the car. Over the next decade, I became a regular at Brad’s shop, combining his excellent mechanical ability and a tool selection that rivals no one, and my Corvette experience, into a Corvette hobby shop that was just plain fun!
Move through the next decade, and all of us watched Brad grow into one of the most dynamic, and delightfully friendly Corvette nuts ever. He turned a languishing Nebraska chapter into a showcase chapter. He turned a forgotten ’68 Corvette Iowa barn find, into one of the winningest Corvettes in the country, claiming literally every award it could achieve. Then set a record price at a Mecum auction for it.
And if that wasn’t enough, Brad was recognized as NCRS Member of Year for 2020.
Spend any time around Brad and you will have in instant friend who will do anything for you. Elect him as Region VI Director, and watch his dynamic leadership skills, youthful exuberance, and infectious ideas help propel the Region and Organization forward.
