Having family to support my passion for NCRS is fantastic. Here we are as a family at the 2021 NCRS Palm Springs California national convention to accept the NCRS Member of the Year award.
15 years ago. Carson & Ashley with their 1960 red Corvette and my 1968 silver Corvette in the background. If we could go back to those days!
My daughter Ashley with her 1993 Black Rose coupe at NCRS Nebraska Last Blast 2021 judging meet. Ashley just graduated with her architecture degree and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Architecture program at University of Nebraska. Ashley doesn't always have time for Corvette meets, but I have done my best to instill a love of Corvettes and she joins me in Corvette activities as she has time. We have had some great father/daughter time in this C4 but to be honest, she is head over heels for a Rapid Blue C8!
My son Carson learning electrical diagnosis on his 1995 Corvette. One of the ways we can grow membership is right within our families. Carson has no interest in "Grampa Corvettes" but when I showed him some C4 videos doing autocross and racing videos his eyes lit up. So we scoured facebook marketplace ads and found a "fixer upper" 1995 Corvette to work on as a father/son project. We need to find a way to meet younger potential NCRS members on their level, even if they aren't interested in the old timer Corvettes. Carson will be a sophomore in college this fall on a baseball scholarship and studying business finance and accounting.
My beautiful wife of 29 years. Alice in our 1994 dark red metallic 6 speed. Alice has been my rock, the "get it done" girl behind all of my NCRS & Corvette activities. She is the one that makes me look good! Alice is a high school math teacher and earned her 30 year service pin in 2020.
