When I was building my first 1968 Corvette, I learned a lot of lessons the expensive and hard way. Once my car had been judged and I learned more about the minutiae of 1968's, I wanted to share my knowledge with other struggling 68 owners. I created this facebook page to help other owners understand how their car was built and proper restoration techniques. Through this page I have recruited 7 new NCRS Members and we have over 1400 68 owners world wide sharing information.
I am the author and creator of the official NCRS Parts Swap page. I saw a need for NCRS members to be able to buy and sell parts with each other - like we do in the NCRS Driveline magazine, but to be able to do it online instantly without waiting 2 months for the magazine to be printed. We now have hundreds of NCRS members buying and selling thousands of parts in a much more efficient way than posting an ad in the Driveline magazine.
I created the NCRS Nebraska Chapter Facebook page to keep chapter members updated and engaged with current events going on in Nebraska, adjacent chapters and national NCRS events. This has been a fantastic communication tool that instantly connects with hundreds of Nebraska chapter members and other Corvette enthusiasts.
My personal Facebook page that I share Corvette, family and local interest stories. If we are not Facebook friends, send me a friend request and we can get to know each other better!
NCRS National Facebook page has been a great way to inform NCRS members world wide about local, regional and national NCRS Events. I have been the primary content creator for the page and I do facebook live videos at regional and national judging meets sharing with NCRS members that cannot attend the event. Thousands of people have watched and given "thumbs up" emojis during my videos and I feel its a way to create interest and excitement about attending NCRS events.
I have found there are thousands of Corvette owners that have restoration and repair questions. Many of these people ask for help on Corvette Forum, Facebook and other Corvette websites. Many of the answers are incorrect and I started the Corvette Genius channel to provide solid information to questions people have about their Corvettes. If elected as Region VI director, I will push to get an official NCRS YouTube channel that will promote NCRS events, restoration, judging and repair videos to help people learn more about NCRS and their Corvettes.
